Medigap plans refers to various private supplemental health insurance sold to Medicare
beneficiaries in the United States that provide coverage for medical expenses not
or only partially covered by Medicare.
It can be sold in only ten standard plans: A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M and N. Though
the price may vary from one company to another, the benefits of these plans are the
same, regardless of which insurance company you purchase your coverage through.
With Medigap plans, you have the freedom to see any doctor, provider and hospital
that accepts Medicare.
Medigap plans covers all out-of-pocket costs for Medicare approved services. It is
also portable because it can be used in any state or U.S. territory. But with Medigap,
you need to consider a Medicare Part D drug plan for drug coverage.
Medigap plans typically have higher monthly premiums than a Medicare Advantage Plan.
However, the benefits of Medigap plans are standardized, so there is less variation
to consider, and with the wider network of doctors, more assuredness that the plan
will be accepted.
We Currently offer Medigap coverage through United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem Blue
Cross, Blue Shield, Humana, Mutual of Omaha and many other insurance carrier in California.
