Medicare Part C

Medicare Advantage Plan or Part C is offered by private insurance companies, it offers additional benefits and helps to cover the gaps of Medicare. But still, only the coverage specific to your needs at an affordable price is the best Medicare supplement insurance for you.

Medicare Part C combines your Part A and Part B options and must cover all medically needed services. The difference is that private insurance companies that are approved by Medicare provide this type of coverage. In most cases, Part C is a lower-cost alternative to the Original Medicare Plan, and providers usually offer extra benefits and include prescription drug coverage (Part D).

Medicare Advantage plans often have networks, and you must use the doctors or hospitals that belong to the plan. These plans help you coordinate and manage your overall care. Part C includes specialized care for people who need a large amount of health care services. If you find yourself needing medical attention while traveling out of your plan coverage area, you will still be covered for emergency or urgent care services.

Part C is another Medicare health plan choice you may have as part of Medicare. In fact, Medicare Advantage plan is just the substitute of the original Medicare but with additional benefits.

The services offered by Medicare Advantage are usually in a restricted network.

Medicare Advantage plans vary greatly. Some of the variables include:

• Out-of-pocket costs

• Covers emergencies outside of your “area” and may have higher costs

• It may offer extra coverage, such as vision, hearing, dental, and/or health and wellness programs. Most include Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D)

In many cases, there are no monthly premiums for Medicare Advantage Plan or Medicare Part C. Medicare Advantage can be cheaper, but not necessarily so. People considering a Medicare Advantage plan should understand the policy benefits to determine that the coverage satisfies their needs.

For those willing to do the work, Medicare Advantage plans can offer enough coverage at a lower cost.
